This award-winning bath uses water pressure to lift the seat out of the water and is suitable for varying degrees of mobility. If low water pressure is a problem, an optional booster pump is available to ensure trouble-free bathing. Offering spacious bathing, and available in three sizes the Appollo is the ideal solution for many situations.

A spacious bath with a water powered seat which lowers and raises the bather in and out of the water.
Seat lowers flush with the base of the bath and with lift-up armrests gives the bather maximum freedom of movement.
Conveniently placed lever on the side of the bath operates lift system. An extended lever is available for those with an arthritic condition.
With the seat in its top position, manual rotation through 90 degrees aids the bather’s entry into and exit from the bath.

VAT Exemption for Assisted Bathing Equipment

Disabled people don't have to pay VAT when they buy equipment that has been designed solely for disabled people, or on the adaptation of equipment so they can use it.

Goods and services on which you don't have to pay VAT are often referred to as 'zero-rated' or 'eligible for VAT relief'. The rules about VAT reliefs for disabled people are complex. Not everything that is supplied to disabled people is zero-rated for VAT. However all the assisted bathing products in this section are zero-rated for those people who qualify.

We at Bathsrus have to get a signed form from our customers in order to zero-rate these products for you. To do this we ask that you purchase the product on-line at the price shown which includes VAT. Please then telephone us and we will send you out the declaration form with completed product information. You fill in your bits of the form (name, address, disability, signature, date) and return it to us. Assuming everything is correct we will then refund to you via your payment method (PayPal or Credit card) the VAT you have paid and then dispatch the product.

Who is eligible for VAT relief
VAT law states that you must be 'chronically sick or disabled' to qualify for VAT relief.
A person is 'chronically sick or disabled' if they:
have a physical or mental impairment that has a long-term and severe effect on their ability to carry out everyday activities or have a condition that doctors treat as a chronic sickness (like diabetes, for example) or
are terminally ill .
(A person with a temporary injury like a broken leg would not qualify, nor would a frail older person who was otherwise well and non-disabled.)
